Worth a Thousand Words.

I feel like my life has been a total whirlwind lately. There's been so much going on, and my head has been in a billion places at once.

Now more than ever, balance has been SO important - work, school, friends, family, applying for jobs - it would be ridiculously easy to get stressed out and bang my head against the wall, but instead, I'm choosing happiness. I'm going to take things as they come and not stress about the outcomes.

Sometimes, I really think that a picture is worth a thousand words. Lately I've been trying to get better at using my camera to document the little things in my life that have been bringing me happiness.

So, with very few words, these are a few of the things that have brought happiness to me lately.

I have an Angry Birds (and junk food/trashy lit) obsession.

Babysitting + photobooth = guaranteed good times.

Hahaha I just started getting into Texts From Last Night as well-- the website phenomenon has sucked me right it. It's just hilarious. I am always so envious of people with iPads! They seem so nice and convenient, and I am in love with my iPod Touch, so maybe someday. I also don't have a Mac, but I've always said that I would buy one simply for photobooth and the hours of amusement it brings. The kids you watch are adorable!!
I also appreciate how elaborate your St. Patrick's Day was! Oh my goodness those cupcakes and cream puffs..♥.

I can't wait to see more of spring, either. Please keep documenting with your camera :D

1. This post made me all sorts of happy.
2. You have a talent for photography, too, sweet friend! Oh, and the photo booth pics? Friggin' priceless.
3. I am a ridiculously terrible friend. I am catching up on your blog tonight because I SUCK at life and haven't been able to visit blogs much--I miss yours so much, so, so much... I swear, I count the days until I can be done with the school/nightmare (Official countdown: One month from today, baby. One month.)
4. You're applying for jobs?! Ohmygosh! I wanna know... Perhaps you outline this in a post I have yet to read? I don't know.. lol!
5. Those sweet treats are making me drool over here. YUM. YUM. YUM.
6. I really hope you are well... We need to catch up soooooon.

Love the pictures. Seems like yo've been having a wonderful time.
Love the photobooth pics? Oooo, is that a princess tiara you have on?

And all the food looks delicious, esp the St Pat's cookies.

P.S. I've been meaning to pick up and read East of Eden for years! I fell in love with Steinbeck after reading Grapes of Wrath.

I have such a bad Angry Birds obsession too! It is soooo addicting. Tiny Wings is addicting too if you've ever played that...

I know what you mean! I feel the exact same way. Why can't we just snap our fingers and have all the job applications done? How about we open our own school?

Loving all of your pictures! Especially those cupcakes, yum!!

Love that you point out that hapiness is a choice. These pics are great. I love how you shoot food, which can be incredibly tricky. I faved a similar mental roadblock not too long ago. A night of James Dean movies, Ben & Jerry's and an Augusten Burrough book really brought me back. It's always great to have these go to "happy" things.

Hope all is well

Balance is the key, always! I struggle with balancing school and everything else, but the key is to take the time and enjoy the little moments.....and your photos show you are doing great at that!

I nominated you for a blog award, so head on over to my blog and check it out!

I always hear people going on about Angry Birds, but I have to admit that I don't actually have any idea what it is :s Awww and those kids are so cute. Gah and I wish the flowers were in bloom over here, it has been a rather rubbish start to Spring.

Oh my goodness all those baked things look delicious! And I hear you about trashy lit. I read so much heady stuff for my jobs that sometimes the only thing that will do it is something . . . "light." haha. I recently read Snooki's book--I kid you not!!
