This is a very special "Wedding Wednesday" (which I realize I haven't been keeping up on), because it is the wedding of one of my roomies and bffs, C to her (now husband!) N.
I had to head up to Pennsylvania for the wedding one day after coming back from China and then on top of being exhausted, my car broke down on the side of the highway, and it was about 1,000 degrees with cars roaring by and J and I hanging out on the side of the road like two prostitutes. Luckily, my dad saved the day, and left his office, traded cars with me (talk about an upgrade!), and then J and I took his car to Pennsylvania.
We arrived late to the rehearsal dinner, but luckily we were in time to practice walking down the aisle - which is a lot harder than it looks because you have to be so slowww. It was great to see my girlfriends though, and meet the other bridesmaids (there were NINE of us!).

Roomies of three years:

The day itself was very special. It was a night wedding, so a few of the girls (not all 9) got their hair done at a local spa, which was really fun, especially because it included mimosas! I scheduled my time during when I knew that C and my other bff R would be there, and it was a LOT of fun. My hairstylist was a genius, and after getting to the second page of the bridal hair lookbook, I found the perfect style for me, that was totally different from what I usually do with my hair. it was really fun swapping stories, drinking mimosas, and watching C get ready - especially since in just a few hours she would be married!
See, very new hair for me. (Just kidding).

The bride!

Finished product (I know it sounds silly, but I really was thinking it was very Sarah Jessica Parker/Carrie Bradshaw, which made me very happy!):

I got ready in the hotel room while J watched a Lifetime movie (seriously, he did), and it was a mad rush to get dressed, not mess up my hair, do my own makeup, ran around in my heels, and shimmied into my dress (and got to C's house early for pictures!).

We took pictures at C's house for a while - the professional photographer arrived shortly after us, and I was crazy jealous of his amazing equipment. He was pretty creative, and was very dedicated - even laying on the ground to take a picture of us (not up our dresses, thank you very much - cute ones like looking up on us).

A super fun touch that C and N chose for their wedding was that instead of getting multiple limos or a huge stretch Hummer limo since the wedding party was HUGE, they rented a TROLLEY! It was so much fun, and all 20+ people got to ride on it together. It kept making me sing this song though...
Pretty bride in the trolley:

BFFs for four years:

We arrived at the church and were BOILING. It was so hot out, and while it is a fun way to get around, trolleys are not exactly the best with air conditioning (plus, we were all singing and dancing while in the trolley to a little Party in the USA and Ridin Solo, which works up quite the sweat). We went up to the "prayer room" above the sanctuary of the church where C immediately removed her dress, which caused quite the stir when her future mother in law came in to see how she was.
The ceremony itself was really nice. When N saw her walking down the aisle for the first time, he cried, which made me shed a little tear (which I was NOT expecting to do!). They recited their own vows, where N promised to rub her head and make her soup when she's sick, and she promised to always support him, and then it was over much too quickly. (Since I was up front the whole time, I don't have any pictures of the ceremony).
After the ceremony, the bridesmaids and groomsmen and bride and groom (!) boarded the trolley again and headed to a funeral home where we took the pictures. I know it sounds creepy, but the place was architecturally beautiful, and the grounds were gorgeous. It was so nice to kick off my heels, which were pinching my feet like crazy, and take some fun pictures with everyone, plus get to talk to the newlyweds!

After taking pictures (happy that the weather had held up because it was overcast the whole time we were at the funeral home), we headed to the reception which was held at a ballroom in York. Each bridesmaid walked in with a groomsman to a different song - my bff R and I walked in with a groomsman to Justin Bieber, which made the flower girl and ring bearer very happy.
C and her family made the table decorations themselves in the purple, black, and white color scheme. It looked nice, though it wasn't my taste, I could appreciate a DIY!

The reception was fun - a bunch of friends from college were there, so it was great to see them not even a month after graduation.
R and her longtime boyfriend (J's bff):

Celebrating my return from China:

Cutting the cake - he put it all over her face, but she was very nice to him.

All in all it was a really fun time to be with friends and to celebrate the love of our two friends. Whether we thought they were too young, crazy, or perfect for each other, we all had a lovely time being with each other.
